As President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, it is my pleasure to invite you all to join us in Austin, Texas for the 26th AACE Annual Scientific & Clinical Congress on May 3-7, 2017!
The theme of this year’s Annual Scientific Congress is “Driving Innovation,” and this promises to be one of the best meetings ever with over 30 hours of live education focusing on the latest medical and technological advances in endocrinology. The Program Committee Chair, Dr. Sethu Reddy and Vice Chairs, Drs. Felice Caldarella, Vin Tanpricha and Kittie Wyne should be congratulated on creating an educational experience that emphasizes the very best in cutting-edge research, highlights the latest clinical guidelines, and explores the most advanced innovations in contemporary clinical endocrinology.
We are very proud of the upcoming 2017 Annual Scientific & Clinical Congress in Austin! This vibrant city is known for innovation, advanced technology, world class dining and excellent music that is second to none. We are delighted to welcome you to capital of Texas and “one of the hippest cities” on earth.
During our 26th Annual Meeting, with over 50 sessions, attendees will experience first-hand the latest technological and medical advances in endocrinology, and engage in practical workshops aimed at enhancing skills that will be directly applicable to their busy practices. World renowned experts and thought leaders will cover all aspects of endocrinology, including sessions focused on osteoporosis, diabetes technology, precision medicine, thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, obesity, lipids, pediatric endocrinology, and endocrine surgery. Practice management sessions will provide guidance to help navigate the challenges of contemporary practice, including updates on MACRA and other important legislative issues.
We look forward to four days of education, networking, and science. On Wednesday, we have eight practical workshops planned, Thursday and Saturday will offer Meet-the-Expert Sessions and Friday will have In-Depth Symposia that will cover all aspects of endocrinology. At the Saturday Business Luncheon, we will install the new President, Dr. Jonathan Leffert, and later that day, at the American College of Endocrinology Convocation, our new College Fellows (FACE) will be inducted.
As with any AACE meeting, we aim to provide a venue to gather with old friends and colleagues. Be sure to attend the Chapter Receptions on Thursday, the Poster Viewing Wine and Cheese on Friday, and the President’s Gala on Saturday. Fellows are invited to their special luncheon on Friday where the next Fellow-In-Training Board Representative will be elected. Our theme for this year is family, and as such, we are planning entertainment for the whole family, with breakfasts, a magic show, daily group exercises, tours of major landmarks in Austin, and a kids’ section at the Gala.
